My research is devoted to the study of Late Cretaceous planktic and benthic foraminifera biostratigraphy, taxonomy and as indicators of marine environmental variations. To this end, I have been involved in several multidisciplinary investigations and gained experience in fieldwork, taxonomy, stratigraphic and faunal analysis, stable isotope (oxygen, carbon and strontium) and TOC analysis, graphic and statistical software and SEM micrographic work. My currents research project focused mainly on the following: 1) Chronostratigraphy of the Upper Cretaceous organic-rich sediments in Israel, 2) Faunal and facies reconstruction of the shelf-slope environment of the Late Cretaceous in Israel, 3) Detailed taxonomical investigation on Late Cretaceous benthic species from the Levant high productivity regime, and 4) Late Cretaceous planktic foraminiferal distribution habitats, response to global climatic changes, and ecological strategies based on stable isotope.
